Governor Greg Abbott attends groundbreaking at Texas A&M Semiconductor Institute
The institute brings together research, workforce development, and public-private partnerships to secure America’s leadership in semiconductors.
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Gov. Greg Abbott joined other local leaders to break ground on the Texas A&M Semiconductor Institute.
“Texas and America must be microchip independent,” Abbott said. “We must ensure we lead the way forward. This groundbreaking is a giant step toward achieving that independence. Texas A&M is accelerating in innovation, and cementing Texas’ position as the global leader for semiconductors.”
The institute will be located at the RELLIS campus.
