Space Forge and Texas A&M collaborate for Texas orbital semiconductor deal
The Texas A&M University System and the British company Space Forge have signed a new master research agreement.
(Houston Business Journal) A British company has picked Texas A&M University for a semiconductor research hub that underscores the state’s priorities of commercial space and chipmaking.
Space Forge, based in the United Kingdom with a U.S. headquarters in Florida, on Aug. 17 announced a master research agreement with A&M that will eventually lead to Space Forge’s first U.S. manufacturing and processing site.
According to Space Forge’s announcement, the agreement extends through the university system but will heavily involve the Texas A&M University Semiconductor Institute, which was established in 2023, and the AggieFab Nanofabrication Facility.
